I decided to start this blog after watching and listening to one of my favourite players in NFL history, Mr. Emmitt Smith, stumble and bumble his way through 8 weeks of ESPN pre-game coverage. He states facts incorrectly, he forms incomplete sentences, and he reminds me of a genuinely senile old gentleman named Cecil I met in a nursing home a few years ago.
Contrary to what you may think, this is in no way a negative thing. When I was a kid I wished Emmitt Smith was my football playing black father, and now as a college student I wish he was my crazy old Uncle that nobody else in the family really talks about. I think he's great for television, for football, and for America as a whole.
This blog will keep you up to date with Emmitt's excellence, and I plan to keep a running diary during every Sunday NFL countdown; that way every statement will be remembered, and every quote will be immortalized.
